An unemployment insurance fund can pay out benefits to you if you become unemployed.

An unemployment insurance fund is an association, and if you’re a member, you can receive unemployment benefits instead of having to apply your local municipality for welfare cash benefits.

The Danish State lays down the conditions you must meet to be eligible for unemployment benefits and determines how much you’ll receive. The unemployment insurance fund administers these rules and pays out benefits.
