Unemployment and other benefit rates

A rate is a fixed amount − for instance, the unemployment benefit rate is the amount you will receive in benefits if you become unemployed.

When you register as unemployed and apply for benefits, we will determine the benefit rate you are eligible to receive based on your previously earned income. However, there is a maximum rate that cannot be exceeded.

New graduates will receive unemployment benefits at a special graduate rate, which depends on whether you are also a parent with dependent children.

The rates of unemployment and other benefits such as early retirement benefits are set by the Danish state and reviewed once a year.

Apart from the above benefit rates, there are a number of other rates which can be used, for instance, for conversion purposes in connection with deductions, g-days, etc.
